Why Should You Prioritise Back Care?

Back pain can severely impact someone’s ability to focus to do their job.  Yet encouraging people to move and stay active, especially through yoga, can drastically reduce stress and bring freedom from pain, as well as improve mental and emotional wellbeing.

How Does the Back Care Workshop Work?

Using gentle, safe, yet effective exercise, the Back Care Workshop offers a proven solution to prevent and treat ongoing back pain or episodes of back issues.  It is one of the best ways to self-manage and prevent pain.

 Participants will be gently guided through easy movement that works with their back, focus on breathing and relaxation techniques.  This can drastically improve the overall back health, reduce the length of time and frequency of back pain episodes and see improvement in your whole wellbeing.

The Back Care workshop is evidence-based and has been created by expert physiotherapists, osteopaths, GP’s and yoga therapists, who are all passionate about helping people become pain free and live a normal full life.

The programme was tried and tested in the NHS and includes traditional yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques, plus combines knowledge from modern medical studies and NICE medical guidelines

What Should I Expect from the Course?

 The Back Care workshop can run as a standalone workshop or as part of a series of 6-8, one-hour sessions.  Sessions will be guided by Nazama Tague, an experienced yoga and back care instructor who has compassionately helped countless people find freedom from back pain.

To gain the maximum benefits, participants ought to be committed to practicing movements outside of the sessions, and so will have access to videos and handouts to help with home practice.

Self-management is a key part of caring for your back.  Techniques learnt will be tools to managing their back for life.

How is the Workshop Carried Out?
