A free-flowing stronger practice, moving from one pose to the next, focused mainly on building strength, but also flexibility. Some exercises will share similarities with Pilates.
What is Involved?
Delivered at a stronger-pace, you’ll explore a range of postures and sequences combined with breathing. The focus will be on building strength, without force, but in a way that feels good.
Classes are kept light-hearted, non-competitive, but focused so you feel at ease and confident in taking part, as well as finding ways to adapt techniques to suit your body. There is a no-touch approach to teaching.
Classes wrap off with a short and cooling relaxation.
All levels are welcomed.
What are the Benefits?
In these sessions, you will increase your range of movements, build strength in specific muscle groups – typically glutes, core and upper body. It’s both energising and calming at the same time.
Most scientific studies suggest yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, improving your range of movement, posture, flexibility, strength as well as reducing stress, backpain, connecting with others, and boosting your emotional and mental wellbeing.
Regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, auto-immune diseases, life after cancer treatments, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.
You’ll walk away feeling happier, stronger and invigorated.
